About

Since I was 6 years old I have been a writer. It started off writing stories influenced by my favourite fiction, like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Doctor Who’. And thanks to that, I have managed to create and maintain such a massive imagination which has stretched into the music I have written and produced since 2017.

This love of writing and immense creativity I developed also meant that I was good at English in school, and the only subjects I were really good at and succeeded in through high school and sixth form were English, ICT and Photography. I managed to leave high school with B and C grades in Literature and Language, and went on to study Photography and Computing at sixth form. Foolishly I didn’t continue with my English studies as I had my heart set so much on becoming a musician, which is something I regret. I also only left sixth form with one final grade as opposed to three, as personal issues at the time overwhelmed me and took priority.

But thanks to a friend I made on the internet, I was able to reignite my passion for writing and developed a keen interest in music blogging. I started my blog in September 2018 and the first three posts that I published were what I had written over the past few months, but had to keep to myself. I didn’t have a platform to share my writing until I found WordPress, thanks to my friend Darya.

Through this blog I have had the opportunity to write for The Violet Reality, which I am incredibly thankful for, and I hope that I am able to keep on doing. I feel that I have also grow so much as a writer after reviewing albums that are mainly instrumental, and I’ve discovered so much good music after exploring artists and their albums with the drive, inspiration and desire to write about them and share it with whoever is willing to read what I write. But most importantly, I have managed to cause discussions over albums with communities; I have managed to transport fans back to their first time hearing albums; and I have realised that writing is my true passion.

To everybody that reads my blog and supports it, I am incredibly grateful. The support and love really means the world to me // Vicky
